I that I have the ability to just create what I want at will. Sometimes I just pick up a tool in the studio and use it on the piece in front of me without things. I guess that’s why I class myself as creating abstract expressionist art, lol.
With that abstract painting, I have done just that. So you will notice the gold and blue horizontal deep dragged lines that run across this unique painting. The palette of colours that I chose for this piece reminds me of a sweet thing. Dessert maybe?
If you look closely at the painting you will see a lot of movement and various mixing of paints. It is a real storm of colours and tones merging into each other, a lot of turmoil in this painting. You can see the deep rumbling of the black paint at the bottom of the painting, maybe where this storm originates.
With this piece being smaller in size, it was painted in one session but this painting does have other layers of dried colour underneath. Most of my abstract artworks do have many layers which offer character and history to the art.
