Process of creating Abstract painting

My abstract paintings come from a place that isn’t fixed or stable. They’re shaped by movement, distortion. I’m interested in how it feels to experience it when your perception shifts.

Living with a vestibular condition means my sense of space, motion, and focus is constantly challenged. That instability feeds directly into my work. Marks become gestures of control and release at the same time—layers build, collapse, and re-emerge. Between chaos and control, weight and lightness, clarity and confusion. Surfaces are pushed, scraped back, and rebuilt. Colour is used not just visually, but emotionally—sometimes clashing, sometimes muted.
